Many thanks to those who gave to our New Year's fund drive!
Steve Stephenson, Greenville
To Greenville attorney Steve Stephenson, donating to the Boys & Girls Clubs is the best way to make a difference. "At the Boys & Girls Club, children receive help with their schoolwork from adults that truly care about them. It’s a place where they're safe and where they're away from crime, drugs and gangs,” says Stephenson.
Buddy Hornbeck, Winterville
Buddy has been working for the Club for three years, and working with children for over twenty. When he saw the “bus driver needed” sign in Winterville, he knew he'd found the perfect fit. “Every child needs someone to help them, to be their friend, to be their tutor. If you can help just one child—you’ve succeeded at doing that.”
Sean Batts-Wood, Greenville
Sean Batts-Wood isn't just a member of the Fire Tower Club, he’s also a volunteer. The South Central High School junior assists the staff by watching over the younger kids. Sean enjoys playing basketball with Club members of all ages. “It’s fun to come here,” Sean says. “It’s fun seeing the kids have fun, and you have fun, too!”
